My ancestors are from Scotland, England, Germany and Sweden.

I was born in Whanganui.

I grew up in Tutaenui/Marton.

Toetoe/Mt Curl is the mountain that speaks to my heart.

Rangitīkei is the river that alleviates my worries.

I now live in Auckland, I acknowledge all of the iwi in the Auckland region, they have the mana of this land.

My name is Robyn.

Words - so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to combine them. - Nathaniel Hawthorne

I usually say that I fell into the world of PR and communications by accident, but in reality, my love for language and storytelling meant I was always going to find my way here.

My working life has covered a diverse collection of industries, from farming and finance to hospitality and travel, and I’ve added to my bag of tricks with each fresh chapter of my story. I’ve learned that clear and authentic communication, creative problem solving, and a flexible attitude are highly transferable skills, especially when combined with a ravenous curiosity and a slightly dark sense of humour.

I have been fortunate to mahitahi with an incredible collection of clients and the outrageously talented team of wāhine behind Sayso for more than a decade, and I remain shameless in my willingness to soak up every drop of their wisdom and experience.

Things you should know

  • I have two awesome kids in whom I have successfully instilled my love of books and reading.

  • I’m a total sponge for useless information and random trivia so I love a good quiz night.

  • Born and raised in the beautiful Rangitīkei, I’ll always be a country girl at heart.

  • I’m a little bit obsessive when it comes to spelling and grammar.
